"PETER IN THE NAVY" is a Navy Strength Gin. The Royal Navy designated Gin as "Navy strength" if it passed this empirical test: if gunpowder remained flammable even after being soaked in the Gin, then the spirit could be safely transported on board Royal Navy warships. This naval measurement continued until the 1890s and still today denotes a spirit with an alcohol content of over 57%.

In 2020, Peter created a new "PETER IN THE NAVY" gin, which maintains all its aromatic characteristics, balancing the higher alcohol content with the freshness of its botanicals. Unlike Peter In Florence London dry gin, Peter in The Navy was created with only 9 botanicals, mostly eliminating the floral components and increasing the juniper flavor.

Tasting Notes

Nose
On the nose, it has decisive notes of juniper and a very intense harmony of the 9 botanicals, more intense than Peter In Florence. The balsamic, sweet, and camphoraceous parts of the juniper are more perceptible.

Palate
It is a mix of aromatic explosion; even though its alcohol content is very high, it is not perceived on the palate due to its delicacy. .

Finish
Its "aftertaste" is very long and delicate.

Garnish
Lemon zest, rosemary, or juniper berries.
