PETER IN FLORENCE is a London Dry Gin produced entirely in Tuscany using the first Carter Head still still present in Italy, faithfully reproduced according to the original 1831 design. The result is an elegant blend of 14 botanicals, with particular attention to the Iris flower, a symbol of the city of Florence since the 9th century and always synonymous with elegance and purity, and juniper, a plant characteristic of the Florentine hills.
Nose - on the nose, we are immediately struck by its intoxicating scent that instantly transports us to Tuscany, characterized by its engaging floral side, colored with iris petals, rosemary, lavender, and cardamom, refreshed at times by its rounded citrus notes of coriander, bergamot, and lemon. All accompanied from start to finish by the characteristic juniper.
Palate - in the mouth, its low alcoholic perception does not at all highlight its 43% alcohol by volume, thus allowing its main characteristics to emerge, dictated by the rounded notes of juniper at the entry and the floral ones in the second part, with orris root leading the way. Everything is refreshed by the citrus parts of bergamot and lemon, pleasantly shaded by grains of paradise and cassia.
Finish - its "aftertaste" is very long and intoxicating, with a return of juniper that invites another sip!
Garnish - lemon peel, rosemary, or juniper berries.
